Looking for a big brainer to help out on this one!

I log in as Host or Admin and whenever I go to file manager and click 'upload' I get this message :-

Also, all the files stored in Portals/0 can longer be linked to anywhere on the site, all the links are dead. I've got hundreds of files/images linked so I'd rather solve the Filemanager issue than download a customer file management module and have to rebuild all the links!!

Can anyone help

eventvalidation was enabled for a few of the beta versions of 5.1.0 (and was disabled due to problems like this), these are not production ready, please do not use them.
