Hi,

When clicking the module setting link, the error below is displayed.
Is there a solution for this?
I'am using DNN 4.9.4.
Events 5.0.1.

With regards, Ton Hermes

Hi Ton,

Have you upgraded from a previous version, or is this a new install? In any case can you supply the info requested below.

  • What version of Events are you upgrading from?
  • What version of Events was your first install?
  • What version of SQL Server are you using?
  • Were there any errors on the initial module install screen?

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

I did the upgrade from a previous version.(not the last one)
I do not know from wich version I did the upgrade.
I have a backup available, so if you can point me where to search for the old version info, I will do so for you.
I'am using sql 2008
DNN 4.9.4.
Snapsis pageblaster
There were no errors on the install screen

Do not hesitate to ask for more information when you need it.
With regards, Ton

As always, to keep folks informed. This problem was caused by a previous DNN upgrade not completeing, because AutoUpgrade set to false in web.config, and the manual install was initiated to complete the upgrade.

This seems unrelated, but the problem is that if DNN sees framework upgrdaes pending, it does not run the final part of module upgrades, which the Event Module relies on. The module does a number of things during this part of the upgrade:-

  • Installs the custom permissions required for Moderator and Category/Location editors
  • Installs the list time intervals visible in the module settings
  • Does the major part of the recurring event upgrade required in 5.0.1

So if DNN upgrades do not complete, the module will not work...

Cheers
Roger
