Hello. I am having a strange issue with  Google Analytics showing an error in IE (version 8, but it also occurs in compatibility mode). There is a character set / code fragment that appears in the bottom left hand page when the analytics are enabled -> ;)  Feel free to visit the site @ newtonlake.com, and you will see it there. If you do a view source, it looks like a piece of the Google Analytics code.

This happens on every page, as well as the IE syntax error warning. which always shows the URL of the page that you are presently on (in this case GoogleAnalyitics.apsx).

If I just put in the URL parameter without the Tracking ID, the error does not occur, but then the Google Analytics code doesn't show up in the page and the visits are not tracked.  The error still occurs if you use just the tracking ID without the URL parameter.

Attached is an image of the issue. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Regards,
Ed Janx

Thanks Oliver. I did try that once and it didn't work, so I folowed your advice again with the same result. However, this time I then restarted the application (under Host Settings), and it cleared it up like you said it would!
