I have a list of names when they click on the particular name and to load another page with the content related to the name clicked, I have to load the same page for all the names with the corresponding content when it is clicked. How can I get that? We don’t want to create individual page for each names. This page is public and anyone can see this page and click the names to see the details.

moved thread from localizatoin forum to chat about it, since this is not a localization related question.

AFAIK you can do this with UDT / form and LIst, or with third party modules such as XMod, OWS etc. Or you could write your own module to handle this

Hello sridhar,

You can do in this way,

Create new page with the name of the username and give access to administrator only so that it will visible to you only not any other user.
Then for user you just link the page URL as existing link so that it will open in the same page with all the content.

Thanks,

Erik is right there are several modules that can do this. Which one you need depends on what you're trying to do.

Xmod does this easily - you have a list of names on one page and when you click the view details button for a single item (name) on the list it passes a querystring variable (say userid for instance) to another page where all the modules on that page filter their content based on the variable. So you only use two pages - you can also do this with just one page but space gets a little limted depending on how many modules you have showing item specific content.

Hope this helps.

As also mentioned, OpenWebStudio can do this very easily and in a single module/configuration.

Worth a look and running through some of the tutorial videos to see just how easy it can be.
