Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with the WYSIWYG editor where the background of the editor is the same colour as my standard font colour (#161616).

So basically when I go to write something I can't see anything. Here is a screen capture - I highlighted some text to show that it is there.

Does anybody know how to edit the background colour of the WYSIWYG editor - whether in CSS or whatever.

Cheers!

there are two options:

  1. enter "Show custom Editor Options" beneath the editor, switcht to portal mode, enter Editor Area CSS section and switch to static. this will affect display of text (font, size) and paragraphs as well.
  2. preferred option is to modify the skin of the site and not to apply dark background unconditionally to body tag, e.g. by assigning an ID to the body and use it in your CSS definition.

The ID, sebastian mentioned is already added by DNN to the body tag, so you should use

#Body{background-color:#000;}

instead of;

body{background-color:#000;}

What you also could do is to change the Backround color only for your Editor.

All Styles for the FCK Editor are stored within the fckstyles.xml file and can be found at this location: ..\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor

Frank, please do not mix up FCKStyles and CSS applied to the editor area.
