I have a client who currently has a very high end shopping cart running on their ASP based web site and the cart is written in ASP.  The cart people do not have any intentions of directly supporting ASPX based sites.

Client's need (except for cart) are met very well by DotNetNuke (and my favorite platform).  Does any one have any suggestions about integrating this cart into DNN?

Thanks in advance

Tom

When you say "Shopping Cart" what do you mean".  Are you talking about a full eCommerce ASP solution to for maintaing products, prices, etc?  If that is what you mean you can do the following.

Option #1

You could create the DNN site to host everything except the Shopping Cart.  The delete all uneeded content from current ASP site and you can then host just the "Shopping Cart" in the other ASP based site.  Then in  DNN you can create a page that accesses the Shopping Card site by putting it in an Iframe.  I know this is not the best solution, but it allows you to use what they already have for thier Shopping Cart while still getting the benefits of DNN (Page security, logging, etc) for all the other pages on the site.

Option #2

Look into redoing thier shoping cart using either the Core Store module or one of the 3rd party eCommerce modules that are out there.  There are 2-3 very good ones listed in the DNN marketplace.

Hope this helps.

I would suggest if you can buy Shopping cart DNN module, instead of using ASP classis, as this is going to be headache to maintain two different types of application on the site. If it is still need to be done, i can advise you using iframe but not recommended. Other option is to use a subdomain called shop.whateverisyoursitename.com as recommed by previous poster.

Hope this help
