We have been experiencing high CPU utilization when our site is visited by users.  In the task manager, the worker process spikes and causes the CPU overload.  The server gets extremenly busy with about 90-100% utilization.  Right we tried everything rebooting, IISreset but nothing is working.

Can someone please guide us where we should investigate?  We have not installed any new modules.  Currently the SQL DB is installed on the same box.  Everything was fine before 2 weeks and now things have extremenly slowed down.  About 20-30 seconds of delay with every page visit.

Can someone please help?

Did you make sure, there is not a bot crawling your whole site? I recently had a customer, where bot from Amazon cloud utilized complete CPU.

Next, I suggest to review your performance settings in Host settings. Use heavy caching, server and private as well as gzip compression and no whitespace filter.

Hi Nimish, we're experiencing the same issue.  I've identified that only our DNN sites v5.x are having this issue.  No 4.x site is causing problems.  Have you found the problem and if so, what steps did you take to fix it?  Thanks.

Chad

What makes you believe it is related to the DNN Forum module?
