Hello everyone,

In this day i notice something in dnn portals that i think is a security problem, every user that type this url http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fcklinkgallery.aspx has access to the fcklinkgallery.aspx page, in this page i view all the structure of pages that the portal has. So how can i fix this problem? or it is not a security problem?

thanks

it's not a security problem, it's behaviour by design. The control automatically filters it's values for the context of the user, so all you see is the list of pages that are available to your user (i.e. if you're not logged in, to the anonymous user). If you attempt to upload a file, you'll find that the logic still checks for dangerous extensions, and then checks the permissions for the user, so if you don't have sufficent permissions you can't upload.

The control needs to work like this to support cases where sites want to allow anonymous posting e.g. unregistered forums etc.

Hi cat hal,

First of all, thanks for your answer. If in my portal there are pages that only registered user can view, why when i type this url and select the "page of the site" option, why i can view this pages like annonymous user?

what version of dnn are you running, i'm not seeing this in 4.9.4 or above. Also, what version of the fck provider are you running if you've upgraded it seperate from the portal

My actual version of production environment is 4.4.1, and the version of the fck provider i think is the same that the version 3.3.0 of dnn.
