Hello!

I have some AJAX controls I'm using in a custom module.  I use the following line of code to enable AJAX in the module (in the Page_Load event):

        if (DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.IsInstalled())
            DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterScriptManager();

Unfortunately, this line of code causes my page to slow down considerably.  When used, the RegisterScriptManager() method adds about 10-15 seconds to every page load.

Is there anything that can be done to use AJAX in custom modules without the speed reduction?  Thanks for all your help!

 I suspect that there are ASP.NET AJAX functions that when ASP.NET AJAX is enabled they slow the page down, but just registering the ASP.NET AJAX would not cause a page to slow down by anything close to that amount.

All it is doing is registering some .js supporting libraries.

You can use JQuery but also needs you to register a .js script libary to support it so you would have the same problem.
