I'm hoping to learn and understand the functions or methods used by the modules for the recurring options available.

From everything I've seen, this module has possibly the most flexible choices for setting recurring items and I'd really like to implement the same approach in my own custom items.

Is this used functions or something within the SQL to return the recurring dates?  I'm working with OpenWebStudio and would like to create similar here... and although I should be able to create similar functionality from scratch I did hope to save a little time (plus cover anything I mightn't have thought of).

Hi David,

The module basically converts the recurrence methods that have been exposed in the gui for a number of years into RRULE format detailed in RFC2445. There is no magic here, it is coded from scratch in a way that loosely maintains table structure as in previous versions of the module with the addition of a recurrence master record.
