 Hello,

I am facing a problem with an installation of DNN 4.9.4 on a Windows 2003 Server (french OS) : everything seems to be OK in the installation process, excepted a  curious following behaviour :

  • Using Chrome or Mozilla, and connecting to DNN administration with the 'host' account  is OK : I get the administration panel and so on ...
  • But trying to do the same using IE 7 or IE 8 result KO. I just get the "home" page as if I had done nothing.

I checked all that was possible to ckeck : application pool, file authorizations (with NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE), SQL Server access connectionString, etc ...

I can definitely not connect to DNN with 'host' (or 'admin'), when using IE 7.0 or IE 8.0

Has everybody already faced this kind of difficulty ? Great thanks in advance for your ideas.

Regards

I haven't noticed this with DNN 4.9.4 using any browser.

There might be an issue with the skin applied, please try it with default skin.

Which menu is used in the skin of your site?

In IE try clicking your cookies and cache - ensure no programs are blocking Javascript.
Just for fun try restarting your PC (assume you have tested this away from the server) and IIS.

 Hello,

Indeed I loaded a skin that is not the default one (minimal Extropy). But unfortunately (for me :-), coming back to the default skin doesn't change anything. I think that problems are located on the server side, even if everything is really ok with chrome or mozilla.

In case of any change, i will return to the forum in order to share the resolution.

What, exactly, does this mean?  You can't log in?  Or you log in and don't see the control panel?
