I have release a super-set of the DotNetnuke IFrame Module that allows the user to "blur" the query string parameters called IFrame64.

Certain web audits consider parameter passing where the parameter name is explicit, such as "username" as weak from a security point of view.  IFrame64 address this issue in several ways:

  1. User can request that parameter values be Base64 encoded
  2. User can request that parameter values be Encrypted based on site keys
  3. User can request that all parameters be merged into a single string that is then Base64 encoded.

Obviously, the target frame must understand that the parameters have been blurred and be able to retrieve the parameter values.

Please note, that the DotNetNuke IFrame module must be installed on your site prior to installing this module.

IFrame64 is available from www.tressleworks.ca as free download located here

Enjoy
Paul.
