Hi,

I'm trying to place latest blog entries on my home page (like rss from the main blog) and i'm having problems.

I have managed to configure my blog correctly, i'm using it for articles on my website. So i have child blogs as categories with posts within them. All works fine, on the blog page, when you click 'view recent entries' it shows all of the recent entries fine.

Now, what i wanted to achieve was to have some of these recent entries (titles and their descriptions) to be displayed on the home page of the site. I placed the blog another blog module on the home page and for the setting 'Personal Blog Page' i chose my main blog from the other page, and it shows the articles fine aswell. The only problem i'm having is that when i click on a read more link on the short summary descriptions on the home page it should link ot the main blog articles on the main blog page or a pgae of its own, but instead  it opens up the whole article in the home page by pushing all other content of the home page down on the homepage. I would have thought that if it has been able to pick up the name of the other main blog in the dropdown setting 'Personal Blog Page' , and also managed to get the articles from it, then it would also link the articles 'read more' ot the main articles in the main blog also, but this is not the case. Now i'm not sure if i can ahcieve what i'm trying to, by using rss, and if it would work with my child bloigs also (i.e. show the latest entries from all blogs not just the rss of one child blog) and how to do this with rss if it is at all possible.

I would be grateful if somebody could help me and let me know how i could achieve this with my current home page blog, or then how to do it exactly with rss, thankyou very much for your help. Much appreciated.

If you go to the RSS feeds of one of the child blogs you'll see that it comes up with a blog ID, for example

http://www.engagesoftware.com/Blog/rssid/7.aspx

notice the 7, that's the child blog ID, change that to 0

http://www.engagesoftware.com/Blog/rssid/0.aspx

and you can likely get a full listing of all blog posts.

The above URLs are a tad different because we're using the Ifinity.com.au URLMaster provider.
