Maybe a little more info? Steps to reproduce - what you've done with checking permissions, does the file exist, where is you install etc? Is it an upgrade? From what version? .NET version? AJAX installed on server etc?

Thanks...

This is a fresh install on a shared server 5.0.1.  Permissions *should* be Network Service with read/write/modify from root on down.  The install utilizes a SQL Server 2005 database.

Basically, all I need to do is install using the install wizard.  On step (3?) where it starts going through the upgrades, it gets past the first two, then fails on the third one.  My post here is a copy of the EventLog table from the created database.

The .dll is confirmed in the directory and I assume AJAX is installed as the installer *appears* to be using AJAX for some of it's calls.

What is of interest in this error is that it is saying access denied to the AJAX dll.

I am starting to get through some of the errors and apparently, the host provider did not change the permissions as they should have.  I am working through setting the permissions for each individual folder now.  The problem originated from not being able to set the permissions on the bin directory, and once fixed, the issue escalated to the next issue.

This is the key to your current issue: Access to the path 'c:\websites\182175xg4\bin\System.Web.Extensions.dll' is denied.

Check that you have deployed the proper permissions for your installation directory -- the IIS worker process will need full access to all files.

Hope this helps!

Brandon
