I have a site created on DNN 4.9.2 with Active Directory provider 01.00.05 on it. I created a Virtural Directory for this site on my local IIS. At first everything works good, when I access the site, my windows account passed authentication and automatically logged in.

Then I logged in as admin and found my windows account user and assigned a role to it, and logged out, and want to log in again by my windows account, now problem comes:

If I  run the site from VS 2008 by press F5, it works good. I can login the site without any problem.

But if I directly access the site by inputing URL in the browser(IE or firefox) address bar, I can’t log in from Windows Login, by my Windows Account. It kept giving me information of  “Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive”. But I still can login from DNN standard way.

I have spent a whole day on it without any progress, can anybody help me. I guess it may caused by IIS settings, but can’t figure out where.

Please suggest any ways to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks for your reply.

It does works in auto login when I first visit the site, but if I logout and login again, click the button "Windows Login" and fill my user name and password, it will reject the login, with the error message "Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive".

After I login by admin account, and goto event viewer, there is no such a record at all. 

I also install this module to a site in a Test Server of my company, it works good! It is really weird.
