Hi everybody,

I have a site created on DNN 4.9.2 with Active Directory provider 01.00.05 on it. I created a Virtural Directory for this site on my local IIS. At first everything works good, when I access the site, my windows account passed authentication and automatically logged in.

Then I logged in as admin and found my windows account user and assigned a role to it, and logged out, and want to log in again by my windows account, now problem comes:

If I  run the site from VS 2008 by press F5, it works good. I can login without any problem.

But if I directly access the site by inputing URL into the browser(IE or firefox) address bar, I can’t log in from Windows Login, by my Windows Account. It kept giving me information of  “Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive”. But I still can login from DNN standard way.

I have spent a whole day on it without any progress, can anybody help me. I think it may caused by IIS settings, but can’t find any clue.

Please suggest any ways to troubleshoot this issue.

To make my question more clear:

The site can auto login, (from my windows user account), but if I logout, and try to login again by choose the "Windows Login" option, and input my windows account  user name and password, the login always fail.

Are there anybody get the semilar problem?
