Dear Forum Readers,

I wanted to post in the DNN Extent It Forum and wrote for hours without interruptions on a long message. But when I clicked the Preview button. I got logged out! It is of course impossible that the message is send any way. But this has seriously undermined my confidence in DNN (bug laden?) if even on there own site they do not get things working correctly!

Kind regards,

Johan van der Galiën.

That is not a bug, your session timed out on you.  Sessions do that for a number of reasons but I don't think that anyone would have even though that someone would spend hours writing something as a forum post.

I suggest to all my clients that if they have alot to write - open up notepad, write in there, then log in or attempt to copy and paste rather than write in their editor.

I have this happen on my blogs too - so I learnt the hard way- not once, not twice, but many times - you can't trust your sessions at times.

Another trick is to copy all of your typed text before clicking the Update button. This way, if you do get timed out, you can just paste it back in.
