I was surprised to see 5.1.2 with this number of issues already.   (Yes, realized they might not be 5.1.1 related).

Given this.. is there any known reason not to upgrade from 4.9.4 to 5.1.1?

Thanks..

Not many gemini issues being logged for 5.1.1 so far, it might take a couple more weeks to get a full picture.

My view is that it is pretty darn good so far. It puts other 5.x releases in the shade by comparison. Any issues experienced have been posted in these forums... not seen any real showstoppers. I definately think 5.1.1 is production ready. - Just my opinion (and the first time I've stated it for 5.x).

Cautious people would want to upgrade to 5.1.1 after reviewing the outstanding Gemini issues, ultra cautious people would want to upgrade to 5.1.2 - maybe 2 to 4 weeks after release.

at the end of the day the choice is yours and you should evaluate it yourself (run some tests perhaps to make sure your third party modules and skins behave).
