Hi,

I upgraded from 4.8.0 to 5.1.0 and when logged in as a regular user (i.e. no edit permissions), you're presented with the ability to "edit" text in text/html modules (i.e. the edit icon appears when you hover over the text).  It's not truly an edit, since the changes don't persist when you click save, but it goes as far as to allow type in new text.  I was looking at Gemini to see if this was fixed in 5.1.1, but I couldn't find an obvious matching ticket for it.  Does anyone know?

please check the module permissions (in module settings) and make sure, that users don't have edit permission for the module.

Hi Sebastian,

Non admins definitely do not have edit permissions.  As I mentioned, the issue is cosmetic only--the changes that users make don't actually persist when they try to "save".

Hi,

So it seems like we might have a legitimate bug here.  Can someone on the core team confirm?  I'd be happy to fill out a bug report...just tell me where to go. :)
