What I want to know is say I have a DNN site set up.  I want to display data in a page within Dotnet nuke, do I need to create it as a module or as a page?  Also is the Iframe module the only way to display a .net already written app within dnn or is there a wrapper that someone has written that doesn't use iframe?

to display content, you need to use a module. for displaying tabular data, you might want to use a generic module like free SQLGridSelectedView from www.tressleworks.ca.

To include other applications, IFrame would be the best option or convert it into a DNN module (set).

anything outside of the gridview I would have to custom code entirely?

There are many modules that display data ... SQLGridSelectedView is just one module to display tablular data from database.  Check out www.Snowcovered.com to see other available modules and skins

For pre-existing applications, you can use the IFrame module to view the other application.  However, if the data is available in a database there are several modules that can display day directly from another database

IF you can provide additon information, I provide addition detail and possible examples.

Paul.
