I hadnt noticed this until i jumped over to www.xd.com.au to try out this whole skinning thing, and was wondering what Nina was talking about. Then took a look at my site, and noticed that with the first Repository module I added, my users can download fine.  The second one I added for a different client section, they cannot download, there is no download link at all.  Im sure you all might already be aware of this. Any word on a fix or update?

Edit note: I guess of posting again I could just edit this original, anyway just a suggestion, the icon that you can optionally upload to display beside the file, maybe have that link to the file too, instead of the picture just showing up in another browser window.  Or maybe the icon or image upload is for a preview im not sure. food for thought

Can you check your log viewer and post the errors you are seeing.

The other thing to check is the download permissions in the module settings. Everytime you place the module on a page you have to set the permissions.

Okay I checked the permissions, the page that the module is on is restricted to a certain user, and the repository module just inherited those settings.  I also unchecked inherit settings, and just checked the group that needs to access it and still no go.  There is no error, it just doesnt display the

RATING:   COMMENTS (0)  DOWNLOAD -- at the bottom bar thing, so no one can download.

But on a different page I have (on which I put the first instance of Repository), it displays the RATING:   COMMENTS (0)  DOWNLOAD in the bar at the bottom and downloads fine.

Close but wrong area. On that same page at the bottom is a section called Repository Settings (click the + sign to expand it). It's in that area where you set the download permissions. The area you were looking at only controls who can view the module.
