Iam creating a search page.In that, the user enters title and department based on which the search is made.I stored the data in database table.I have to retrieve programatically.Iam using boundfield and hyperlink field to rerieve the data. The code is organised to data access layer, business object and business logic.

Now,I want to create download link od a file  for which the path is stored in the database.Iam using hyperlink field but the navigateURL is refering to the path in which the code is stored. Can u pls tell me how to create a dwl link for the path of the file stored on server.

Regards,

This should not be hard.

Replace the default control in the ItemTemplate with a HyperLink.  Assuming you are using databinding then you build it up using the DataNavigateUrlFields property, the DataNavigateUrlFormatString property and the DataTextField.
