I agree with you about hosting dnn on Go Daddy.  However, once you sign-up for the domain name, do you continue to pay g daddy for the name or does that transfer to your preferred host? I am assuming that whoever is selected to serve as a host doesn't care where you got the domain.

Thanks!

Ya.  I've noticed DNN4Less doing the same thing as well.  On both this forum and on DNNCreative the owner has been making posts as if he was a customer.  They actually used to have their information listed in the WhoIs, but when Sean Seyed (one of the DNN4Less founders) posted a message on DNNCreative acting like a customer and saying "I host with DNN4Less and they are the best", the deception was pointed out and the WhoIs information was quickly hidden.

Anyone else find it interesting that the forum user above has only 2 posts?

By the way, if you want to do something interesting, go do an IPWhoIS lookup on DNN4Less and you'll quickly find out that they're really just a reseller of FastHosts.

If you're looking to host DNN, don't take a gamble on a reseller company like DNN4Less that is already having to fire employees for "unacceptable, childish behavior.” go host with someone with a solid name and customer base be it PowerDNN, iHost, 3Essentials, or PointClick.

Yesterday I deleted a post that contained a personal attack at Tony. (that resulted in this thread being broken, but that was fixed again ;) )

Perhaps it is a good idea if everyone gets back on topic. If that proves to be a hard thing to do, i will lock this thread.

All ~

In general, we allow quite liberal "discussion" in our forums.  However, this thread has gotten off-topic, out of control and way too personal.  I will assert that many parties in this thread have (at one time or another) leveraged these forums for personal benefit and abused forum policy.  While this is understandable (forums can be be "magnetic"), it is not in the spirit of what these forums are for.  We don't condone personal attacks; we don't condone "impersonating"; we don't condone businesses using our forums for unsolicitied promotion; we don't condone fighting with one another; we don't condone bashing anyone; etc.

In this spirit, this thread is being closed and locked.  I'll ask everyone to make an effort to speak positively and constructively.  Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Scott
