Hi, there

My friends recommend me to use Dotnetnuke as web developing tools, I'd like tos earch for a reliable hosting provider for my New DNN websites, I've referred to the page

http://www.webhost4lifereview.com/webhost4life-dotnetnuke-hosting/

to review.

How is webhost4life? Any other recommendations?

Regards

You'll need to be more specific in what you're after as there are a lot of factors that can make one provider better or worse when compared to other providers.

A few example questions:

  • Do you need a DNN-friendly host that can provide technical support for your DNN installation or just a host with reliable service?
  • Should the host provide a turnkey DNN installation option or will you manually install DNN yourself?
  • Do you require direct access to the database or are you ok with being restricted to a web-based SQL interface provided by the host?
  • Do you intend to be a reseller of DNN websites (i.e., create and host multiple sites for others)?

WebHostForLife (WH4L) is often cited for poor/erratic server performance for their basic shared hosting plan.  However, more than one person has told me that WH4L has a good private server plan with excellent performance.

This is a very popular topic here in the forums.  I recommend you try the following link to see related DNN forum postings on this subject:

I started with a DNN hosting provider Four months ago, with couple of website, in the begining I was very concern about the site loading time and performance, tried few suggetions, even installed Page blaster Module, but my sites did not increased the performance. I then tried their Dedicated Server for three months. and FInally gave up. Their support was very satisfactory to me.

Now I am with dnn4less with 9 websites and very much satisfied. Don't even need dedicated server. Never had a single problem.  Awesome Support and site speed.

Sean,

In the spirit of full disclosure, I find it a tad shady that you're posting forum posts like this, and comments on my blog, about a company that you are the owner of the domain for.

Hi Chris,

You are 100% right, I registered this domain name months ago, then I sold it to one guy in California in June'09. And right now I am hosting my websites with him, it was part of the deal.

What ever my comments are in my earlier post. Those are also 100% true.

Sean
