Hi, I downloaded the DNN install package last week and selected to install the 'forum' module. However, in the module definitions list the forum is listed as not in use.

I tried downloading the forum install package from the DNN website and selected it to install as a new module. However, I was told that it was already installed and did I want to repair it. So I selected to repair but it is still listed as 'not in use' in the module definitions list.

Any ideas? I suppose I'm missing something really simple...

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,

check your folder and file permission for your DNN files and folders.  Then check the database after uninstall the module, if there are still any forum artifacts delete it manually over the SQL Management Studio (express), check tables, procedures, views and functions.

Then try a new install of the new Forum module.
