Hi Guys!

I get the below error when I upload new skins;

If you have reached this page it is because the installer needs to gather some more information, before proceeding.
This package does not appear to be a valid DotNetNuke Extension as it does not have a manifest. Old (legacy) Skins and Containers do not contain manifests. If this package is a legacy Skin or Container Package please check the appropriate radio button below, and click Next.

With the skins I just select "skin" or "container" and it's all fine.

BUT I GET THE SAME ERROR WHEN UPLOADING SOME MODULES???

What can I do about that since it not "skin" or "container"??

Thanks!!

Olle,

the error may occur, if the module manifest (.dnn file included) does not adhere to the standards, can you please post the content of the rejected module's manifest, thank you.

I had the same problem.  I was starting a new module from scratch and uploaded to 5.1 once the ui of the module was done.

Got the error, but couldn't move past it because it was a module, not a skin or container.

(I also had a warning when compressing the files that the 'my project' folder was empty, but I clicked past it and continued.)

While troubleshooting, I added a web reference to the module for data access.

This added files under the 'my project' folder.

I re-zipped the project and tried uploading again.  No error.

Not sure if that helps you at all, but you should check to see if your 'my project' folder is empty.
