Hi Guys

I've been messing around with JQuery, trying to incorporate it in my DNN 4.9 installation, however I came across some problems.

I've tried several methods of implementing JQuery to my DNN Installation, namely the injection method, page header and also including the code under the Registration tags in the ascx file.

The problem is that by adding the <script> code under the Registration tags works fine, however the DNN solpartmenu or nav menu dissapears when using the the code to reference the Jquery file. However when I include the noConflict(); method, the JQuery stops to funciton, though the solpartmenu/nav meun shows back.

Is there something I am doing wrong, or any knowabouts on how to achieve / conclude this issue?

Cheers

Brian

Brian,

I have had the best luck with jQuery when I don't use the $() syntax, but use the jQuery() syntax.

It is working very well with my Expandable Text/HTML module on multiple installations, 4.8.x, 4.9.x, and 5.x without issue.

Hi Brian, your right, but Timo pointed me in the direction of an article that has another method...  See the solution at my post, here.
