Mr Zuckerman is trying his hand out at this dotnetnuke mularky. Unchared territory for this acclaimed writer of fiction. I can't allign the different modules on my page. I'm sure this is easy peasy, lemon squeezy for any experienced user. Any intelligent thoughts welcome. To put it simply my page is a collection of modules and has no shape. I want to have it more neat.

Thanks, Nathan.

Hi Nathan,

I assume we are talking about horizontal alignment and not vertical? Since every HTML module will size itself to whatever content it contains you cannot control the alignment without using some outside forces. The 2 main ways that i use for alignment are 1) panes and 2) other modules.

With panes I just use a template that has multiple pane bands and float my modules against this fixed boundary. You will get horizontal alignment at the tops of the modules.

In other cases where I want to control alignment I will use some of the mash-up modules that allow you to stack multiple modules insode the modules and give some flow to them. This is a bit of a sledgehammer approach but will work great for specific situations.

The other side is more of a stylistic solution and try to use less discrete modules. Example - if the content does not need heavy visual blocking around a module try using transparent modules. They will control flow of the content without the heavy visual blockiness of too many module son a page.

I hope that is helpful!
