The Forum tool is throwing back this same error twice (one on top of the other on the screen)...

"An error has occurred.

Error: is currently unavailable."

This only happens with one particular user and only when pushing the "New Thread" button (in any forum)... it is not a time-out issue, and it happens immediately after pushing the button, so not text is being entered or anything since the box never shows up.

Add/Edit/Reply buttons all work fine... only creating a New Thread seems to be broken.

I was going to try deleting the user and re-adding it, but the last time I tried this in DNN, I wasted a half day trying to get the user to recreate... if someone suggests that, I'll try it, but I was hoping somebody might be able to point me to some settings or something somewhere that I can try to change before deleting and recreating...

Thanks...

If you are using Forum 4.4.3 the solution is several  times postet in this Forum, please search about it.

If you have not this issue before you upgraded to or doing a new install of Forum 4.5.3, we need the error log from the event viewer.

If your user had this error efore you had upgraded to 4.5.3 or on the 4.4.3 version you have to search to the solution in this forum for version 4.4.3.

The post after timeout issue is already fixed in version 4.5.3 but it didn't fix the occoured users!

Regards

Matthias

thank you... I finally found it.  Just had to dig several pages deeper in the search than I did before...

Deleting any references to the user from dnn_Forum_TrackedThreads table, and that fixed it.

(EDIT: I have not upgraded... still on 4.4.3)
