Hi.

I've a design that request to have the visibility token in skin, instead in container...

How can I do that?

Thanks.

So your client wants the ENTIRE website to colapse to nothing (save maybe a single row or icon)? Seems like a very odd choice to me, but hey I've worked with a fair share of clients and they never cease to amaze me with their 'concepts'.  Unfortunately, as far as I know, the visibility function is only available in the modules, however once I get back to my dev machine in the morning I will dig more.

Otherwise, you could probably implement a jQuery method to display / hide a div that wraps around the entire skin.

Oh, and you may want to post these questions to the Skinning forum, as there are more 'specialists' following that group that have a plethora of tricks up their sleeves.

Thanks for your reply...

Yes, the client want the main div to collapse, to see the background images... I test the jquery stuff, the different functions to hide, but I have errors...  because the button is a image, if I use a linkbutton in acsx the page go to server and reload, if I use a html button don't work... it's crazy... :(

Any way, thank you!

Hrm, not sure. I've only recently begun looking into using jQuery in my designs, however I *think* you should be able to make a simple Div with an image / background image and use that to trigger the action instead of ASP or form buttons. However, I'm unsure what the functional code for that would be.

You may want to check the examples available at www.jquery.com and www.jqueryui.com . I'm also working through the Wrox book "Beggining JavaScript and CSS Development with jQuery" by Richard York ISBN#: 978-0-470-2279-4 ( NerdBooks.com ).

Good Luck!

If you want I show you the code.

Thanks
