- are you running 4.3.5 or 4.5.3, as stated before?

- you should be able to run DNN on your local machine in a web site as well instaed a vritual directory inside localhost. Simply create a website "DNN" in IIS manager and assign with "DNN" as host header value. Next, you need to add "DNN" to /windows/system32/drivers/etc/Hosts file, just behind localhost, separated by a blank.

Oops.  Dyslexia strikes again - I'm actually running 4.3.5, I just double-checked my production site.

I am running DNN on my local machine.  It took me awhile, but I got it up.  "osc" is the name of the virtual directory in IIS.  I haven't added anything to the Hosts file.  I did have to modify the portalAlias field to read localhost/osc, but once I did that it came right up.

Does your comment still apply if I'm not using the FCK editor?  I've been researching modules to see if I need to upgrade any, and I thought that if you were using that, you had a folder somewhere called "FCK" - I can't find any such folder on my site.  How would I tell?
