I trying the beta of the new Gallery module on my test enviromet and I seem to be having an issue with uploading files.

When I hover over the album and select upload files I get the file upload screen. This tells me to keep adding files and clicking "add file" and they will appear in the pending queue. The problem is when I click add file the first image in the pending queue is replaced withthe new one. I am unable to create a list of pending files to upload. So at present I can only place 1 file in the pending queue, then upload this and come back to the album and repeat the whole process.

Please can some one advise why this is happening.

I am logged in as Admin and my DNN site is on 4.9.4

Problem solved just not sure why. I logged out of my site and cleared the cache and then re-loaded site. Logged back in as Admin and now I can upload multiple images again.

Has anyone got any ideas why this might of happened?

I'm not sure why that happened either. There are several circumstances in which the pending files list is either discarded or the user is permitted to upload only one file at a time - for example, the user navigates away from the upload page then returns or the user is anonymous. Could you please answer the following questions:

1. Was the Maximum Pending Uploads Size (in the gallery configuration Admin Settings section) ever set to a non-zero value?
2. Are receipt of cookies disabled or otherwise blocked in your browser?
3. Is your site a child portal?
4. Are any gallery related errors reported in the site's Event Viewer?

I just installed the 04.03.00.113 vesion on my test site (4.9.4) today. Logged on as Admin, I created an album and added 2 pictures. Then created a new album and have since then not been able to add pictures to it. I have tried with a single JPG image and also tried to add multiple. When trying the multiple I see the same behaviour as mentioned in the post above. The queue is only on 1 file and even though the system tells me that the file was uploaded, it does not appear on the webserver in the folder it should be. I see no errors in the eventlog.

I have put the max pending  uploads size was 0, and I put that to 4000 but without luck. My JPGs are around 800 each, so 2x800 < 4000. Max file size is 3000 and quota is 50000.

Then suddently I could add a picture to the second album, but since then no success adding an additional image.

Any ideas?

I have just now tried to reproduce this behavior on several test sites but have not been able to do so. It appears to be caching or cookie related but since it is intermittent it will be difficult to track down. Let me ask a couple of additional questions:

  1. What web browser are you using?
  2. Are receipt of cookies disabled or restricted in the browser settings?
  3. After clicking "Add File" to add the selected file to the pending uploads list, did the upload fully complete and the file appear in the pending list before you attempted to add another file?
  4. In the Gallery Configuration was the "Is Private" checkbox checked or the "Auto Approval" checkbox unchecked?
  5. Has the module's cache duration been set to a non-zero value in the module settings (not Gallery Configuration but regular Settings page)?
  6. Was a storage quota set for the entire portal by the host?
