if your question is whether you can use code from DotNetNuke for your own use, the answer is yes, the license allows for that, provided that you keep copyright notices in place etc. For details please check the dnn license here; http://www.dotnetnuke.com/About/LicensingandTrademarks/tabid/776/Default.aspx

You can also reference the dotnetnuke assemblies and use code in that way, however, that is extremely difficult, since most code requires the content of DNN running

Why just not run the DNN application by itself?
