Hi, as a Web consultant, I offer web solutions to my clients. I have seen that beside I like DNN a lot, there's a few free skins available in which I can work, I have purchase some, or modify others that are free, also I have purchase modules that has been developed by a third parties. On the other side, I also works with Joomla (works with PHP, MySQL and Apache, in other words, the other side of the moon) and I have thousands (literally) of templates to work my client's ideas.

Why is that difference? I know that obviosuly, companies have to earn money based on knowledge and skills but my question, seriously is if one side can do it, why the other side can't?

There are differences between the eco systems, maybe caused by different traditions of development in PHP and .Net. There are a couple of free DNN skins, but I know, they are hard to find. Check out DNNskins.com for example.

Maybe there are just way more people who (can) skin for Joomla. So the skins that aren't free are driven out of the market by the free ones? (i dont know anything about Joomla)
