I've been trying for a long time to get authentication working with both parent and child portals, and have been unsuccessful.

Has anyone else been successful?

I am struggling with that exact issue as we speak.

Dan

Did you ever resolve this issue?  I have a child portal on which I have set Windows authentication.  When a user accesses the portal, it doesn't appear to be looking for windowslogin.aspx.  It simply proceeds to the home page.

Any results?

No, never got it working.

Do you have the <!-- add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authetication" / --> line in the web.config file commented out?  I have a feeling my issues are related to this.

Oh well - If I get it going OK, I'll share the solution with you.  Thanks for your reply.

Cheers

Steve
