Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem I have:

I have a dev version of DNN running on my local machine (http:localhost/dnndev) , I then transfered this onto a development server and set up a site in IIS on the development server and I added a new Portal Alias (http://dnndev.server.co.uk) - this worked great. I could produce locally then send builds to my development server. However I didn't want the new instance on the development server to have the same database as other users may wish to add content and I may break the backend when developing. Thus I created a copy of my original database (original was called dnndev, the new database is called dnndev_content). When I've switched the web.config to point at the is new database (which is exactly the same as my original) and I go to http://dnndev.server.co.uk in my web browser a "not found" page is displayed and the URL  jumps to the default portal alias http:localhost/dnndev. I don't understand why this happening as both databases are on the same server both are identical and both have the same number of Portal aliases? Does anyone have any ideas I think I'm going mad!

Thanks

Mike
