I am currently using DNN 5.1.1 CE

I am having some errors pop up and it may have to do with using Windows Authentication to access the database.  This happens intermittently.  In my initial installation, I configured the database connection using Database.mdf in the App_Data folder and configured my web.config to use SQL Server 2008 Express Connection Strings.   What I may want to try to get away from using Windows Authentication and  use SQL Server Authentication and create a new database in my SSMS 2008 Express.   Is it possible to migrate the data from the Database.mdf to a new database in SSMS 2008 Express?  If so, can you point out some instructions or point of reference?  I hope this made sense.

Thanks.

you can easily attach the database in SSMS and use alternative version of the connection string in web.config, which allows you to access the database using SSMS without issues. However, I don't expect you authentification problems to be solved, check out IIS web site configuration and remove windows authentification.
