Hey there, I created a website http://www.vsolar.ca/ using DNN portal and I set the link as Home page of the browse. .It was running and functionaing absolutely fine. But, for the last 1 week, I've 'een experiencing few problems. As I open up my browser, I receive the following 2 types of erros. This is happening sporadically, I mean, sometimes it displays my web page straightaway.

This webpage is not available.
The webpage at http://www.vsolar.ca/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

The Webpage has a Redirect Loop

This webpage at http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=bing and form=MS SPRO has resulted in too many redirects.Clearing your cookies for this site may fix th

e problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

Here are some suggestions:
  • Reload this webpage later.
  • Learn more about this problem.

More information on this error.

Do you maintain the hosting server or is it through a 3rd party? My first instincts for this are:

1 - Domain issue - I checked, and it's not expired so you're fine there

2 - Hosting Issue - there's something causing the server to not respond, possibly it's running into problems allocating resources (i.e. if it's on a shared server and another site is getting crushed with traffic, it would cause delays/time-outs) or maybe there is an issue with the ASP.NET service / Application pool?

However, these are only ROUGH ideas as the majority of my experience is on the design and site development side, only now starting to get into the server end of things.

Good Luck!

In case if you have access to the database please run the following query and save the results in a text file. If you are ok, zip the said text file, web.config, and dotnetnuke.config files and post the zip file over here, or email it to dotnetnukesupport@umaisa.com and we can try to locate the problem.

On the first hand what you can do is Check the dotnetnuke.config file for possible redirects/hacks. Check the web.config file make sure all is ok, and lastly most important hint of what's going on can be obtained from the eventlog export. That will tell us whats going on.

If all above goes to dump then ee recommend - if you have regular back up's for you setup - then revert to the last well known working backup.

Hope this helps,
Sincerely,
Sid
