What are the error messages you get in the log file while trying to install?

I can't remember right off the top of my head but you might want to try upgrading your DNN install to version 3.2.2.  That's what I'm running on my live site and didn't have problems.  Also make sure that the permissions are still correct for the folders.  This version of the module needs to create a couple of directories under portal and if you haven't set up permissions to inherit from the parent folder you run into problems.

If that is the problem you will run into problems with other module installs eventually too.  The Log file will tell all though.  :)

Paul,

This is the error I'm getting:

I tried to install it again, and no error was written to the logs.

Hmm.  I'm in the middle of a move right now and won't have access to my regular dev computers for the next few days.  But I'm thinking that you will need to upgrade your DNN install to at least 3.1.1 or preferably the latest version.  They should be getting ready to release DNN 3.3 before to long and you could upgrade to that.

But to get the Gallery installed you are probably going to have to move up to 3.1.1 at least.  Don't try any of the 4 versions with Gallery 3.0.11.

Upgrading is pretty straght forward and you won't loose anything.  Just follow the upgrade guide and make a backup copy of your web.config file.
