Our skin layout has a content pane flanked by right and left panes. The right pane is usually empty so the content pane contents used to extend to the right to fill that empty space. If both the right and left panes were empty, the content pane contents would fill the entire page.

We then upgraded to v. 5.1.1 at the same time we changed the style sheet applied to our skin. Now the content pane contents won't extend to the left or the right. The displayed width remains fixed as per the layout. We've tried the generic skin with our container and it works as described above. 

Can you point us to what may have caused this? Is this a bug with v5.1.1 or a problem with the style sheet?

The change you suggested fixed the problem for registered users but did not fix it for super users/administrators. What needs to change for them?

Sorry to extend this discussion, but I have the identical issue on my test site, which I'm upgrading, in stages, from 4.3.5 to 4.9.4.  When I brought it up on 4.6.2, I saw that the left and right panes don't "collapse" even when empty.  I'll look for your suggestions in the CSS but I don't have any of the skins you mention, I just have the basics; my portal skin is:

DNN Gray – Horizontal Menu – Fixed Width

and my portal container is:

DNN Gray – Text Header – Color Background

Is this an expected change moving from 4.4.1 to 4.6.2?  And is there a way to change it without customizing the CSS?
