I am in design phase for dnn project and here is general requirement for project

1) One website where many clients use ( i see customizing the membership provider)

2) clients upload/download documents/images, we need to make sure client A can NOT pullup and download client B documents/images, is it possible to extend the document or repositiory module to meet this requirement?  If it is not then i can look into the 3rd party modules.

I appreciate very much for your input.

Thanks

You should be able to do this with both modules. I think the key will be setting up folder permissions in the file manager for each of the clients.

Hi Chis,

I am planning custom loging that uses client code, user id and password and all my data retreival will be based on current client code for the logged in user, in terms of permission are you implying to create a permission group per client and connect with that folder access?

Thanks

Jamal,

I'm not sure what you are saying in your reply.

You can create ROLES for your clients, and let DNN restrict access to the folders by applying permissions in the file manager to those roles. You would have to add the users for each client into the appropriate role.
