Hello,

I can't configure my SMTP Server. I receive error: There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
Failure sending mail. Unable to connect to the remote server

I read - Setting the SMTP Server (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Support/Help/DotNetNukeOnlineHelpVersion46/tabid/1157/TID/2404/Default.aspx)

My domain is: digitborn.co.cc, SMTP Server field: mail.digitborn.co.cc, SMTP Authentication: Anonymous & Basic tried, office@digitborn.co.cc, enter correct password. Email and password are working correctly.

Hosting Configuration: Host Portal: My Website1, Host Title: DotNetNuke, Host URL: http://www.digitborn.co.cc, Host Email: office@digitborn.co.cc

 DNN version: 04.09.00

You will need to contact your SMTP provider to ensure that you are using the correct information to connect.

I figured it out. I should enter "localhost" in SMTP server.

Make sure to double check that you can send emails to external addresses unknown to your hosting provider - your current setup may not have the correct permission to do so.
