With all that DotNetNuke modules do it supprises me that none of them contain a method for emailing my user community.  I mean the default registration requires an email address, and yet none of the modules allow me to configure it to post emails to the users.  I have asked this question before, and didn't realy get any headway on it.  Is it something I'm missing.  Is email just not something dotnetNuke does natively.  I guess I could go out and buy a $100.00 email module, but it seems odd to me that it's not built in.

Please Help.  All I want is to provide some users with the ability to post messages that get pushed to the registered users list.  Or possibly a blog/announcement that you could opt in to recieve an email when new messages are posted.

you may use the BulkMail module ("Newsletter" in Admin menu) for this purpose, DNN 5.1 allows you to place this module on any portal page.

Sebastian thank you so much.  I have been using 4.0.9 for a while now.  I upgraded, and now I have a newsletter module that seems to be exactly what I need.  I can't beleive it was so easy.  Thanks again.
