Hello!
I installed Gallery module on my page. And I have two language on my page. So I make two sites. English and Slovene. But there is no need to make two galleries if I can made just one, which will be showed on both sites. But there is a problem. As soon as I configure both galleries pointing at the sam directory, the second one crashed.

Any idea how to fix that?

bye from Slovenia

Try snowcovered.com, this forum supports the core Gallery module.

Hooligannes;  I think he was trying to get support for the core Gallery module.

Luigidon;   If you have two sites you will have to have two instances of the Gallery module.  You only need to install it once per DNN instance but you actually have to put the module on a page in each portal.

I don't know how it will work in the future with the DAL but right now all of the actual photos and resource files are kept in a directory under the portal directory like ~/DesktopModules/Portals/0/Gallery/367 for the Gallery on the main parent portal and  ~/DesktopModules/Portals/1/Gallery/367 for the next portal and so on.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you pointed the second gallery module to the first one.  But I'm pretty sure it couldn't read the information from those files from another portal.  You could copy all of the files from the directory I mentioned above for the one that is working.  Then copy them into the correct directory for the module on the second portal.

Cheers,

Paul Davis

Paul, I addressed his second post.

I am not sure about which version, but previously you could configure the module to point to a determined directory, hence reading the files from that directory. However the configuration for the folder writes an ID and (I a m not sure about the process) it is tied to the some module configuration.

In the future it will be possible to configure a Gallery to display specific collections of pictures organized as albums per module instances
