DNN Newbie here. I'm the admin for a portal, but can't access the file manager.
- Under common tasks, files is grayed out.
- Under Admin, I can see File Manager and when I click on it the screen is blank. I can tell I'm in Admin>File Manager, but there's nothing there.
- Next I found Extensions and it appears that File Manager 1.0.0 is noot in use. So I edited it allowing Admin to deply module and did an "Update Desktop Module". Generally it just flashes the screen. However one time I got an error that said: "You are not allowed to put this module on a page in this portal"
- Under Event Viewer, I found errors saying: Page Load Exception AssemblyVersion 5.1.1. Here's the message:
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Authentication.Login.get_RedirectURL() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Authentication.Login.ValidateUser(UserInfo objUser, Boolean ignoreExpiring) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Authentication.Login.UserAuthenticated(Object sender, UserAuthenticatedEventArgs e) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Authentication.Login.cmdLogin_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.RaisePostBackEvent(String EVENT_ARGUMENT) at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String EVENT_ARGUMENT) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
I tried logging in as the host/superuser, to see if the superuser needs to give admin control...but I don't see anywhere to do that.
I'm wondering if purchasing a file management module would be a good idea. I don't need much functionality. Just a few users uploading a few pictures each. But if it's easier to get a module working, I'm willing to do that, but have no idea what might be a good module.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jane
