Ok...no love on this post. I'm tired and I wanna go home...so I am out ta here

SO...it if will helps. Here is some more information....I am using the idea that Mike Horton had posted here ====http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/89/threadid/60815/scope/posts/threadpage/2/Default.aspx .

This post explains how to configure AD Provider so that users do not need to enter a domain name.

Does this help?

Hi..A few months ago I installed the AD Provider (version 1.00.05) on my Dotnetnuke portal (version 4.09.04) I am very pleased with it.

There is one small problem.

When a user logs in as a Standard user (non-AD)...they enter their User Name and Password and press the enter key on the keyboard they areable to log in.

BUT...when an Active Directory user logs in ...they enter their User Name and Password and press the enter key on the keyboard ...nothing happens... when they tab to the Login button and press enter key on keyboard ...again nothing happens. They then click on the Login button with their mouse and they are able to log in...wierd?

Any ideas...?

please advise

This is a known issue but it's not with DNN but with .NET. The problem is that when the login controls are loaded they're being loaded into a tabbed module and both the Standard Login and AD Login are trying to set the focus on the Login button. It's been awhile since I tried it but if I remember correctly if I manually edited the database so that the AD provider was the first in the list then the Login button fired on Enter on the AD provider but not on the Standard login. Basically what it comes down to is both buttons can't have focus on the keyboard Enter (or Return) key and the Standard Login tab wins the battle.
