Hi,

My web app, which uses dll library files to encrypt data will work fine on my visual studio 2005 environment but when I publish to windows 2003 server, i get ......

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Path/File access error

I have give read/write permission for aspnet and network service to the folder and file that has the file I want to encrypt.

I have registered the dll in wondows

I  have give read/write permission for aspnet and network service to microsoft.net/v2.0,...... /temporary aspnet..../

Still no change. Can anyone help?

thanks.

is it a DotNetNUke application ?  If not you went no help here.  But I think it is a configuration issue on your IIS or SQL Server.  Make sure you have set the right access for the users.

That is definately a file permission issue, but you need to provide more information to resolve the problem. Check the path from the error message and ensure that Network Service has the necessary permissions to that specific folder. One common mistake is incorrect inheritance settings on parent folders where you assume a child has the same settings.

I hope this is of some help to you.
