Hi All,

I have deleted the only page with a login module on it and now I can't login to my site thru the portal!!

Any ideas as to how I can either get a login control onto an existing page thru my hosting control panel or

login to my portal thru the back end ie my hosting control panel by accessing a file there.

Thanks All!

You should be able to append your url in your browser to get the login control.

From:
http://www.yourdomain.com/tabid/36/Default.aspx

to:
http://www.yourdomain.com/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

Thanks, but that did not work. Any other ideas?

What I did on the site was specify a different page as the login page but then deleted the login module from that page. So now there is no login module on my site...when I select the login token in the header it sends me to my homepage...but of course there is no login there!

In your database in the 'Portals' table, change the field 'LoginTabID' from whatever the current value is to 'NULL' (ctrl + 0). That will reset it to the default config.

John Mitchell has a fix in his blog - a real handy temporary login page you can FTP up to get into your site, then delete once you put a login control back.  5/13/06 edit: added correct url.
