Yes I did but it gives the error (site under construction)  then I added admin as user  with following line <identity impersonate=”true” userName=”domain\user” password=”password” />   with respective name and password - site works with this settinings but no access to AD, users still not automaticly login by IE or even can not login using WINDOWS LOGON. With STANDARD logon fields everything is OK.

Now I can not turn back <identity impersonate=”true” userName=”domain\user” password=”password” />. When I uncomment this line error is generated NT AUTHORITY  / NETWORK SERVICE has no access do database. RESOLVED after couple of minutes: SQL restart was needed.

Without seeing everything first hand it sounds to me like you network admins may be blocking access to the AD from the server on the ports needed. You could try a program called LDAP browser (ldapbrowser.com) on the server to see if you can actually read from the AD.

When I unchecked DO NOT CREATE AUTOMATICALLY USERS I found out that putting LOGIN and PASSWORD for a domain user allows him/her to log onto the site. Users are created in following manner - user name: DOMAIN\i.lastname. When I created users like this by hand it did not work. I have tried following patterns to create users:

  • DOMAIN\i.lastname,
  • i.lastname,
  • i.lastname@domain.com.

Thanks everybody for help and hints!
