Sorry for being late, i had some other projects to close first.

However, i changed to port 8080 and got the same problems.

Then i added executionTimeout="36000" into the httpRuntimehttpRuntime section of the web.config and it is working.

Well, allthough it fixed my prob, i do not understand why the timeout must be higher when running something different then port 80.

Thanks anyway.

I think i was too optimistic when posting this text.

The startpage came up, therefore i assumed that my site is working, but it is not.

All other pages won't come up and i receive the same error then above.

Now it really don't know what else i could do.

Hi All.

I try again, to get this sorted out.

I changed regarding my first thread here the port number of my prod site to 8080. Reason: i want to install parallel a new 5.1.4, which is still not able to run on another port then 80 (when will this be fixed???)

I have 3 portal-alias entries:
- localhost (for accessing it directly on the server)
- servername (for accessing it in the LAN)
- www.xyz.de (for accessing it from outside)

Version 1 and 2 are working fine with Port 8080, but not Version 3.

I have a Fritzbox with Portforwarding for the entry www.xyz.de coming from 80 mapped to 8080.

The Startpage is coming up, so the port-forwarding is working fine. But nothing else. No Login, Register or any other page open for all visitors.

What could this be and what could i do?

Oh, and a upgrade from my prod installation to 5.1.4 is not an opinio. I've tried with a crash. My prod-site runs since 4.3 with many many upgrades, installations and deinstallations of modules ..... no, to many dead things in it, i wanna have a new plain vanilla brand new clean nice smooth.......therefore to copy the data (copy-paste most in the time) from the old to the new one. Until finished the old one must stay accesable from outside. Then, big bang, switch over, yeah!

Pls. Anybody must know....
